Cambodia Does Not Impede the Progress of Other Countries

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen said that the collapse of any country will affect the whole world; therefore Cambodia will not join any country in the aim of destroying another.

Addressing the graduation ceremony for Vanda Institute on Koh Pich, 22 March 2023, he reiterated that countries have complementary economies.

The Prime Minister specifically mentioned the economic dependence between Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam and how the collapse of one country will pull other countries down as well.

Including the more global powers, he stated, "Do not pray for any country's economic death; it is to our peril. If the United States and Europe fall, it will affect us all."
